If there is one thing to be learned from America’s debacle in Iraq, it’s that a lie repeated over and over has the power to influence people and supplant the truth. Case in point is the neo-con claim of “Weapons of Mass Destruction” supposedly held by Saddam Hussein. Though we soon discovered this not to be true, billions of dollars and countless lives have been lost as a direct result of this blatant lie.
Today, supposed legitimate organizations such as Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch, propelled by the funds of a pro-terrorist lobby (the very much intact propaganda wing of the LTTE) are fabricating new lies in an attempt to hinder the peace and reconciliation process in Sri Lanka, two short years since the cessation of hostilities there.
In this climate of deception, a new documentary seeks to redress the misinformation and propaganda of Channel 4’s “Sri Lanka’s Killing Fields.”
